The video “Bringing Families Together: Building Communities” shares strategies to integrate families into the school environment. 

In 750-1,000 words, reflect on the social and emotional developmental needs of children. Propose two parent support groups to establish at your future child care center. The parent groups should help equip families to participate in and encourage healthy social, emotional, and educational development in their children in order to promote resiliency.

Include the following in your essay:

• A research-based explanation of how resiliency in children and families can lead to improved student outcomes.

• Examples of how families can model resilient behavior to support the social and emotional development of young children.

• A description of each parent group; how each group helps parents support the social, emotional, and educational development of young children.

• Resources and local organizations the groups could leverage to promote the resiliency and well-being of families with young children.

• Strategies for the support group that foster a collaborative relationship between parents, their children, and the learning community to enhance learning outcomes.
